Biophilic Outdoor Workspace

Gemini AI Renderings

Designed as a biophilic sanctuary placed within a corporate plaza, this large-scale installation creates a warm, organic contrast to the surrounding glass-and-steel architecture.

The structure is crafted from teak wood planks with suspended white netting for ergonomic lounging. Netting is both UV and water-resistant with a knotless woven design for comfort and minimal deformation. Stainless steel eyelets are easily fastened to the wood structure to attach the netting.

Electrical Schematic

This project involved the design of an outdoor public seating space focusing on form, function, ergonomics, materials, and location.

Fusing sustainability with functionality, the pavilion features a glass roof with embedded solar panels. This system powers integrated outlets, transforming the sculpture into an off-grid workspace and social hub where employees can recharge both their devices and themselves. Beneath the glass is a small private workspace with a bench and table allowing for a space to continue to work but away from a desk.

Structure Dimensions (inches)

Drilled holes in the wood planks create a channel for electric wiring to run. Direct Current from the solar panels runs to the inverter box located safely under the interior wood bench and converted into Alternating Current running to the individual outlets.
